Willemstad, Curaçao is a bustling capital city. We spent a full day there, getting lost in the streets, discovering the floating market, and walking through the enchanting Rif Fort. Willemstad is extremely colorful and filled with a lovely mash of cultures, languages and flavors.
While we stayed about 20 minutes away from town at the Santa Barbara Beach & Golf Resort and had a wonderful experience, we found ourselves wishing we were closer to the hustle and bustle of this exciting city. We happened upon the Renaissance Curaçao Resort & Casino at Rif Fort while wandering and we poked around a bit at their pool. The resort and views of the ocean from their pool were just stunning. I would recommend this hotel for younger travelers looking to be more centrally located, while the Santa Barbara (complete with a private beach and three restaurants) was an ideal options for those looking to “get away from it all” and relax in luxury!
Enjoy our photos from this colorful city!
