The last leg of my recent USA road trip led me to some absolutely beautiful sights. Let me start off by saying…September in Colorado is absolutely amazing! I arrived in the state at such a beautiful time — the leaves were just beginning to change and I was blessed with beautiful fall colors.
On this leg of the trip, I hit Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes Park, Boulder, Aspen, Glenwood Springs, and Grand Junction. Sadly, I had to skip one of the stops I was so looking forward to, Denver, because I was short on time by the end of my trip. I can’t wait to get back there again sometime soon.
Sigh. What can I say? Colorado has my heart.
It always has. It’s funny, but I decided long ago that one day I’d like to live there. I started telling people this way before I had ever actually visited the state myself. I was basing this choice solely on my love of mountains, pine trees and the great outdoors, combined with the insanely gorgeous photos I’d seen over the years. So naturally, I wasn’t surprised for a second when I landed in Denver a few years back and immediately fell in love. I thought I’d move there right away, but life led me on another path…and it continues to.
Still, I would be the happiest girl in the world to call this state home one day. If you’re wondering why, take a look through my photo diary from the trip!
